Ilya is not often surprised. He doesn't like surprises. He is usually the one who is causing chaos around him, bringing a tornado of mayhem with him wherever he goes. If he is the one starting shit then it can't sneak up on him. Then he can't be caught off guard. Can't be caught gaping like he is now, like an idiot.

Or, a bunch of tipsy hockey players play a slightly homoerotic game of Truth or Dare and Ilya becomes very jealous at the idea that Shane has sent nudes to someone who isn't him. Both men proceed to crash out into a spiral of possessiveness and jealousy.
