The Otherworlders never came.
In 1941, facing economic sanctions from the United States, the Empire of Japan resolves to go to war and opens hostilities against the US, Britain, the Netherlands, and Australia. While the Southern Operation and the attack on Pearl Harbor mark the beginning of the conflict, the Magitek Research Department, which had been preparing its military forces against a possible invasion from another world, finds that no such enemy appears. Instead, it joins the war as part of Japan’s military strength.
The Magitek Research Department revives warships sunk during World War II—including the battleship Tosa, as well as Bismarck, Hood, and numerous aircraft carriers and other vessels—using technologies and magical techniques from another world. Armed with these resurrected weapons, it sails the world’s oceans in battle against the Allied powers.

After almost dying to the Dragonsnake a few months ago, Mando has noticed a shift in Grogu's behavior; he's overprotective and slacking off on training, clinging to him almost every second.
Fearing that he's failing as a parent, Mando seeks out Jedi Master Luke Skywalker for help, since Grogu trained with him for a while, and brings Rotta the Hutt with him, to Luke's hesitation. However, on his way to Luke, he's attacked by a mysterious, invisible enemy, who injures him and damages his Mandalorian helmet.
To honor the Creed, Mando replaces the damaged helmet with a new one, only to be thrust into an adventure across the galaxy when Luke senses dark energy from it, and they learn there may be a hidden base in the Outer Rim using technology for unethical purposes.
Mando and his allies must now find the mastermind behind this new organization before darkness spreads across the galaxy, and Mando and Grogu lose contact with The Way forever.

An ablation study aims to determine the contribution of a component to an AI system by removing the component, and then analyzing the resultant performance of the system.
Deleting Caine was not the plan. And his absence led to a whole set of new problems, ranging from the destabilization of the Amazing Digital Circus to a more murderous AI trying to take control of the mainframe. Retrieving him was a matter of practicality. They might not trust him and were definitely wary of him, but his presence was their only way to survive.
Knowing that the humans that you love and desperately want to make happy instead fear and hate you (for admittedly good reasons) and only brought you back because they have no choice was not the best feeling for an AI never designed to handle emotions in the first place. It would be much better to only keep the parts that they need and discard the rest.
